Aram and Arthur Shishmanian and their families are sad to announce the death of:<\/p>\n
Margaret Shishmanian<\/strong><\/p>\n She passed away on Friday 18 March 2016<\/p>\n The funeral will be held at 11.30 a.m. on Followed by the internment at 1:20 p.m. at Margaret, better known as Peggy, was born in London on 18 November 1924 to Arthur Cane, a British diplomat, and Mariam Haratounian. Her father passed away early on in her life and she was brought her up by her step-father, Yeprem Sarkissian, as his own. She is survived by two stepbrothers, Rouben and George, whom she loved dearly. Peggy married Edward Shishmanian and they had three sons \u2013 Arthur, Alfred and Aram. She lived in London, Tehran, Kuwait and the South of France which she was particularly fond of.<\/p>\n Peggy was a devoted to her Armenian identity and played an active role in the community including serving as Chairlady of the AGBU Ladies Committee for a number of years. \nPeggy had a magnetic personality with an inimitable zest for life and was generous with her love. She was the proud grandmother of; Amanda, Edward, Kevala, Natasha, Nectar, Olivia, Philip, Sebastian and Theodore and also of her great grandchildren; Noah and Eli.<\/p>\n
