Margaret, better known as Peggy, was born in London on 18 November 1924 to Arthur Cane, a British diplomat, and Mariam Haratounian. Her father passed away early on in her life and she was brought her up by her step-father, Yeprem Sarkissian, as his own. She is survived by two stepbrothers, Rouben and George, whom she loved dearly. Peggy married Edward Shishmanian and they had three sons – Arthur, Alfred and Aram. She lived in London, Tehran, Kuwait and the South of France which she was particularly fond of.

Peggy was a devoted to her Armenian identity and played an active role in the community including serving as Chairlady of the AGBU Ladies Committee for a number of years.
Peggy had a magnetic personality with an inimitable zest for life and was generous with her love. She was the proud grandmother of; Amanda, Edward, Kevala, Natasha, Nectar, Olivia, Philip, Sebastian and Theodore and also of her great grandchildren; Noah and Eli.

She will be sorely missed.

Mrs Osanna Haladjian was born on 3rd March 1932 in Damascus, Syria.
In 1952 she was married to the late Bedros Haladjian and they were blessed with four children, Viken, Germaine, Hourie and Ara, and four grandchildren.
She lost her husband in 1971, very early on in their marriage, and consequently she performed the duties of both mother as well as father of the family and to bring up her four young children to become exemplary members of their community and Church.
Osanna Haladjian devoted her entire life to the service of God and charitable organisations, looking after and helping the Armenian elderly, the blind and orphans in Lebanon.
Two of her children, Viken and Houri, reside in the United Kingdom and both are active and respected members of the Armenian community in London and both are devoted to serving the church at St Yeghiche Church in Kensington.
Osanna Haladjian witnessed with pride the successes of her children and she was proud to see her son Viken elected to the position of Chairman of the St Yeghiche Church Parish Council as well as Member of the Armenian Community Council of the United Kingdom. She was also proud to see her daughter-in-law, Viken’s wife Dzovik serve as an active member of HOM-Armenian Relief Society and the ACC and the St Yeghiche Church Ladies Committees and her granddaughter Arda, in Homenetmen and other youth activities.
Osanna Haladjian passed away peacefully on the 27th of December 2015.
In accordance with her last wishes, her funeral service and interment will take place in Beirut, Lebanon.
May the Lord rest her soul in peace.

On Sunday, 22 November, St. Yeghiche Armenian Church, London, held a Special Service in Solidarity of people of France and to honour the memory of the victims of Friday 13 November 2015 in Paris. The service was presided by Bishop Hovakim Manukyan, Primate of the diocese of Great Britain and Ireland,  accompanied by representatives from other churches.

Sunday 8th November 2015, St Yeghiche Armenian Church Parish was the centre stage for the Armenian Community remembering all the fallen victims of the first and second world wars and all the other wars. A wreath was laid at 11 am by the Parish Council members as a sign of respect.
HG Bishop Hovakim led the Sunday Service of Divine Liturgy and in his sermon he spoke about the resurrection which our Lord has exercised and preached and shown us his own resurrection which is the cornerstone of our Christian faith.
After his Sermon, HG led special prayers for His Holiness Karekin II on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of his enthronement as the Catholicos of All Armenians. The St Yeghiche choir sang special hems, and prayers were offered for His Holinesses long reign.
